Richard Klug

Director/Cameraman
I love the blank slate. Collaboration. Pictures that tell stories. Apprecenticeship. Craft. Fun. The story that goes on outside the frame. Pure light. Abstraction. Illusion.

Theres Rothko, Nabakov, Terence Davies and Abelardo Morrell. Oh, and Sierra Neveda and Victory Hop Devil. Bobby “Blue” Bland. And, fun.

What I do is take pictures, moving through time, and try to put inspiration within them. It’s a joy and a challenge whether we’re crafting the pictures for screens 2 inches high or 30 feet wide. Today is a great moment to be working in this field.

One critic describes the history of photography as “a series of miracles.” That applies to the best day in a film studio, when we walk in together to an empty room, full of possibilities.
